1.Overview
Central Dispatch is the reservation and dispatch platform used by Bahamian chauffeur and transfer companies, their chauffeurs, and the resorts, private terminals and guests they serve. This notice explains what is held when a transfer is booked, when a chauffeur runs a trip and when a company uses its portal.
Each partner company is an independent business. It keeps its own client records and operates its own service; this platform gives it the board, fleet and booking tools.
2.Information we collect
Booking details: passenger name, contact number, e-mail address, pick-up and drop-off points, any additional stops, date and time, passenger and luggage counts, trip type, an optional flight number, the quoted fare and the run’s status history.
Company account details: for operator staff, the name, e-mail and role attached to the invited account, and the company it belongs to.
Chauffeur and vehicle data: vehicle details and rates, and the position recorded for a chauffeur while a run is active.
Technical data: the session, device and browser information needed to keep you signed in and to protect the service, and counts of pages and features used so faults can be found.
3.How the information is used
To create and dispatch a reservation, assign a vehicle and chauffeur, and show the live status of the run to the guest and to the operating company.
To monitor arriving flights that are attached to bookings, so a chauffeur is scheduled around the real landing time and the guest is met at the right terminal or gate.
To price a trip using the operator’s own rates, to record payment and to support invoicing for corporate accounts.
To answer questions and resolve problems: support staff may read a reservation or run record when a guest or an operator asks for help with it.
5.Service providers
The platform runs on hosted infrastructure, and a small number of services help it work: road routing for drive times and route previews, flight information for arrivals attached to bookings, and e-mail delivery for confirmations and account messages.
Those providers receive only what is needed to answer the request, such as a pair of coordinates for a route, or a flight number for an arrival estimate.
6.Location data
Passengers are not tracked. A chauffeur’s position is recorded while a run is active, and the check-in tap stores the time and position at the point the chauffeur met the guest. That information stays on the run record so dispatch can follow a vehicle and so the trip’s history is complete.
7.How long it is kept
Run and invoice records are kept while they are needed for operations, accounting and dispute resolution, and staff accounts are kept while a person works with a partner company.
You can ask for a copy of your booking details, for a correction, or for the record to be removed, and the request is handled with the company that holds the reservation. Records that an operator must keep for its own accounting or legal reasons may be retained for that purpose.
8.Security
Access is limited by company, by role and by invitation. Operator staff only reach their own company’s data, and the platform team reaches records only for support and maintenance. Booking details are transmitted over encrypted connections.
9.Children
Transfers are booked by adults. Accounts on this platform are for partner company staff and chauffeurs, and are not intended for children.
10.Changes and contact
This notice is reviewed as the service develops, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
Questions about a booking, or about the information held for it, are best raised with the company that operated your transfer; the support address on your booking confirmation will also reach the platform team.
